Cosmic Karma

cosmic-karma2

The sound of the sitar has ever been connected to music festivals: Ravi Shankar played the sitar already at the Monterey Pop Festival 1967, the very first big music festival. 50 years later Timo Bredehoeft aka “Cosmic Karma” brings this sound back to current festivals. Besides traditional Indian melodies he performs own compositions and arrangements of songs of the 60s. Cosmic Karma

Space As Canvas

“My painting confronts space and time in the broader sense. I conceive of the physical space as canvas and painterly ground.
Geometric lines and areas are placed in relation to the particular parameters of each site, individual elements of spaces are accentuated with adhesive tape, paper and acrylic paint, so that ultimately spaces within spaces emerge.”

Karima Klasen conceives the physical space as canvas and creates a graphic ‘Gesamtwerk’ specifically for the spaces at Komma in Esslingen. Here, boundaries shift and disappear between exhibition and exhibition room, between art, artist and observer. Psych on!
